Koolco HVAC Services
We are very excited to announce that Cox Electric has purchased Koolco, Inc. effective September 1st 2024! These two family owned businesses have come together with a shared vision for providing Rhode Island customers with ONE solution for Peace of Mind when it comes to taking care of your home. We will be keeping the Koolco name and all of the Koolco staff you know and love will be staying on as well.
As you may know, Greg and David Sweet have owned and operated Koolco for 24 years and their father Charles A. Sweet started Koolco in 1972 - That’s over 50 years serving Rhode Island and keeping the same customer centered approach.
Cox Electric CEO James Green III and Owner James Green Jr. were thrilled to be part of a plan for the succession of Koolco. To continue this pride of service and dedication to the families of Rhode Island and keep the SWEET dream alive. This merger marks the retirement of Greg and David although they will be on with us part time. All Koolco employees will be staying on with us and the phone number will remain the same as well. As a DYNAMIC DUO, Cox Electric and Koolco, Inc. will provide all of Rhode Island, Electrical Service; Generator Installation, Replacement and Service; HVAC, Boiler, and Minis Split Installation, Replacement and Service.
As is the case with both Cox Electric and Koolco, we will still have the same 24/7 emergency service available to customers that need us after hours. We are here to help! The one change that will take effect September 1, 2024 is we will no longer be providing oil delivery. If you have questions about oil delivery please contact our office at 401-783-1500.
We will focus our attention on SERVICE and continue all boiler and furnace service as well as HVAC service, as was completed in the past and ALL service contracts will be honored as agreed upon.
We hope you join us in wishing Greg and David a Happy Retirement! We are so pleased to have been provided the opportunity to merge with such a great company and look forward to serving our extended Rhode Island family for many years to come!
